However, the larger Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer has different advantages over the Schwinn 411 such as a longer stride length (20” precision-path compared to the Schwinn 411’s 18” stride length), more programs (22 versus 13) and more resistance levels (20 versus 16), plus a manual incline range (up to 10 degrees) which the Schwinn 411 does not have.

Both the Schwinn 411 and Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer’s drive-train utilizes a high-speed, high-inertia perimeter-weighted flywheel and ECB magnetic resistance which combine to provide super smooth and quiet operation.

Both elliptical machines are ergonomically designed and feature dual-action handlebars – fixed and moving – so you can choose to hold onto the moving handlebars to work your upper body in unison with your lower body or hold onto the static handlebars to just work your lower body.

The Schwinn 411’s console has been streamlined for ease of use, but lacks some of the extra features of the Schwinn 430 such as a cooling fan, audio speakers and USB charging port.  As previously mentioned, the Schwinn 411 does have Bluetooth connectivity which the Schwinn 430 does not have.

Both elliptical trainers track and display motivating workout stats as you exercise including time, speed, distance, calories burned and heart-rate.  However the display screen differs between the two elliptical machines, with the Schwinn 411 having one 5.5” LCD screen while the Schwinn 430 has two LCD screens measuring 5” x 3” and 5” x 1”.

To help you stay within your target heart-rate zone as you exercise, both elliptical machines offer heart-rate monitoring but the Schwinn 430 only offers contact-pulse-grip heart-rate monitoring whereas the Schwinn 411 Elliptical Trainer offers both contact-pulse-grip and telemetry for more accurate heart-rate monitoring.

The consoles on both elliptical machines feature a media rack to place your mobile phone or tablet to keep entertained as you exercise.  Both machines also feature a handy water bottle holder so you can keep hydrated as you workout.

Both the Schwinn 411 and Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainers are sturdily built and feature adjustable stabilizers for leveling on uneven floor surfaces.  If you look closely at the pictures, you'll see that the Schwinn 430, being the larger of the machines, has the addition of a middle floor support whereas the Schwinn 411 just has the back and front supports.

Both the Schwinn 411 and Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainers allow for a high user weight capacity of up to 300 lbs.

Being a more compact design, the Schwinn 411 has a smaller footprint than the Schwinn 430 with the 411 measuring around just 43” long (53.8” long with handles & footplates extended) by 24” wide by 62.5” high, whereas the larger Schwinn 430 measures approximately 70.1” long by 28.2” wide by 63.2” high.

Being the larger elliptical, the Schwinn 430 machine itself also weighs quite a lot more than the Schwinn 411 with the Schwinn 430 weighing around 180 lbs compared to around 100 lbs of the Schwinn 411.  Both machines feature integrated transport wheels for easy relocation.

For peace of mind, both the Schwinn 411 and Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainers come with a generous manufacturer’s warranty of 10 years on frame, 2 years on mechanical parts, 1 year on electronics, and 90 days labor.
